Is Poulsbo too cute?

Poulsbo, WA aka “Little Norway” is known as a cute, kitschy waterfront town located on the north-end of the Kitsap Peninsula.

To help the town stand out, we collaborate with the Poulsbo Film Festival to find a talented film producer to incorporate commercial appeal with cinematic storytelling.

The Result

The “Too Cute to Be Real” campaign proved that humor drives real tourism impact. In its first month, it generated 55K+ views, doubled visitor days, and sparked $186K in estimated economic impact with a $11.67:1 ROAS (and still counting). Audiences were 7x more likely to visit, demonstrating the power of authentic, community-rooted storytelling.

FAQs

  • I work with leaders, teams, and organizations who are ready for clarity, alignment, and momentum—especially those navigating growth, transition, or competing priorities.
My consulting is a strong fit for:

    • Destination marketing organizations

    • Tourism-related businesses

    • Nonprofits and community organizations

    • Small teams who need direction

    • Founders and executives ready for strategic visibility

If you need strategic clarity and someone who can turn ideas into actionable plans, you’re in the right place.

  • All engagements begin with a free 30-minute discovery call.
From there, I recommend one of three paths:

    1. 90-Day Marketing Strategy + Execution Plan
A deep-dive roadmap customized to your goals, team capacity, and audience.

    2. Workshops for Teams
Collaborative sessions designed to create alignment, improve communication, and build a unified marketing approach.

    3. Monthly Coaching
Ongoing support where we refine strategy, troubleshoot challenges, and build long-term momentum.

Every engagement includes clear deliverables, timelines, and expectations—so you always know exactly what’s happening and why.

  • Great question—and one I’m intentional about.

    • If you’re a tourism-related business
You can work with me through Visit Kitsap Peninsula for original content creation, advertising packages, or collaborative campaigns that amplify visitor awareness.

    • If you’re outside tourism or need deeper, more personalized strategy
My private consulting practice is the better fit. Here, I work directly with you on leadership alignment, strategic direction, brand clarity, and marketing systems that extend beyond tourism.

    In short:
    VKP supports regional tourism.
My consulting supports your organization’s larger goals.

Both lanes stay aligned—and both help our communities thrive.
